Patient sent to me, specifically for EDGE : with cholangitis from biliary stones, gallstones and previous Gastric Bypass. She got a robotic Cholecystectomy and a robotic gastrostomy assisted ERCP- one stop Shop! DHI St Pete , BFH rocks.

ESD at DHI Bayfront Hospital. The entire lesion including all the Barrett’s with intra mucosal cancer removed - from 32 to 45cm. 6hr procedure. Top margin tidied up with EMR. However, patient cud avoid esophagectomy, chemo & radiotherapy and get discharged within 24 hours.

I doubt, I am the only physician who feels extremely happy when you save yet another patient from undergoing major surgery, even on Sun. Significant arterial bleeding from a large duodenal diverticulum in D4. Surgery only if no less invasive options. I love my work & my team.

Another successful “well-locked” marriage - between Padlock & Ovesco clips in a bleeding ulcer at the Gastric incisura - not a marriage-lock! 😂 Two arterial spurters within one ulcer base - Forrest 1b. Glad we have all these toys to avoid surgery when appropriate.

Massive hematemesis with significant Hb drop after a MVA- and the diagnosis is - 😂. It’s good to have such surprises out of hours.
