विश्वविद्यालय क्रीड़ा परिषद्, #BHU , द्वारा 29-30 अगस्त, 2022, को 9वीं बीएचयू ओपन तैराकी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। दो सत्रों में आयोजित तैराकी चैंपियनशिप में विभिन्न आयु समूहों में बीएचयू कर्मियों तथा अन्य प्रतिभागियों ने शिरकत की।

A study by #BHU researchers identified plant-associated fungus having the ability to act against certain drug resistant pathogens.The work by Dr. Surendra Gond & his PhD scholar Sandip Chowdhury, Botany section, Mahila Mahavidyalaya,was published in Journal of Basic Microbiology.

The newly discovered fungus namely Pestalotiopsis microspora, displayed bioactivity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains. This work could pave way for developing drugs that could be effective on drug resistant pathogens.

Researchers from Dept. of Surgical Oncology, Institute of #MedicalSciences , #BHU , have achieved a breakthrough towards finding out causes & cure of #gallbladder #cancer . The research team has identified somatic mutations responsible for developing the disease.

The research team was led by Prof. Manoj Pandey and comprised Dr. Satyavjiay Chigurupati, Dr. Roli Purwar, Ms. Monika Rajput and Dr. Mridula Shukla. Findings of the study have been published in the prestigious journal Molecular Biology Reports.
