Really good point made in deputation from Blackford Safe Routes from a new cycling parent: “if you’d consulted me before these (quiet route) changes then as a driver I’d have opposed them. Now they are in I have started cycling with my family and strongly support them”
For years we’ve tried to beat traffic by building more roads. It hasn’t worked.
Around the world, building more roads and lanes has resulted in more traffic.
That’s why we are going to do things differently in Wales.

The Fort William Bike Park is open! Supported by £290k from the sportscotland Cycling Facilities Fund, this community project has created another destination for cycling in Lochaber. On the eve of the UCI Cycling World Championships - lots of locals and visitors giving it a go!
Cleaner air - Fitter people - Greater connection - More road space - Lower NHS burden - Healthier children - Less road danger - Stronger community …the advantages are multiple. Bring it on Haringey!
