This is going as expected, although J.J. McCarthy is taking it up even another notch. He's firing darts into coverage and connecting. The latest a 22-yarder to Loveland. Michigan leads MSU 28-0. McCarthy 14-for-17 for 206 yards late in first half.

There is a smattering of maize in Spartan Stadium, but it's far from overwhelming. Spartan fans showed up and have been loud. Michigan sucking the wind out now, leading 14-0. J.J. McCarthy on target big-time.

To be clear, if the line was crossed and Harbaugh and/or his staff are proven to have cheated, punishment should be strong.

Jim Harbaugh is known to test boundaries for a competitive edge. It will be interesting to see where the line on sign-stealing is drawn, and if it was crossed.
