For the past couple days I've been trying the experimental shader editor in Modyfi and I really love it! Congrats patricio gonzalez vivo and the team behind Modyfi for their hard work, it's an amazing product.

I'm excited to see the progress of the shader editor and it's eventual launch

I spent part of the day diving into GLSL, shaders, and WebGL. Absolutely fascinating stuff!

I highly recommend these resources, the amount of care and effort put into these is 🤯...

New pattern!

A Voronoi diagram (love it) with eyes calculated over the polar coordinates of each cell. No images or graphic libs here, just a shader wrapped with JS

LYGIA v1.2 is out! Better materials, (iridescence, subsurface scattering, transparency) more and sampling operations, better color spaces and tools for consistency for all you GLSL/HLSL and WGSL shaders. We also welcome 4 new contributors to the license github.com/patriciogonzal…

For my article on Monocular Depth Estimation, I made my own multi-model pipeline (I call it PRISMA), but I'm used Rerun and ( + lygia ) for visualization.

Are you iterating on a Three.js project with a client and you want to look pro? You can use this DevLook scene made with glsl-pipeline + lygia. It will max your speed, quality and flexibility. Grab it from my sponsorware repo. Link 👇

LYGIA update: iridescent properties on all PBR materials (including Glass + ClearCoat). lygia 1.2 is shaping up to be a big release

I made this custom shader in
Three.js

It's based on an exercise from The Book of Shaders. I added color and mapped it onto the mesh.

I just moved to Berlin. If you live in Berlin, comment below or DM me, I want to meet some more GLSL nerds 🤓

Super proud for today’s new feature release Modyfi ! We’ve added motion to our generative/non destructive workflow engine. Excited to see how artists & designers animate the shader modifiers & AI features. Try it out! And give us feedback.

(re)introducing GLSL-PIPELINES, a convenient way to prototype complex pipelines directly from a single shader by branching it into stages 👇

Bringing LYGIA's Kuwahara filter to Modyfi to explore ergonomics around kernel convolutions. Why? we use rust + wgpu, naga takes GLSL 440+ & Vulkan semantics so texture sampling require the texture + the sampler; 2nd hoops coordinates, supporting multilayers makes them complex
