NEW: DOI has launched a probe into NYPD officials' social media use as well as NYPD's response to pro-Palestine campus protests, a spokeswoman confirms.
The probe comes in response to requests from City Council Speaker Adams and Legal Aid.

The TreatmentNotJailNY is an idea whose time has come. This coalition has already won $30 million for mental health resources in the court system, and a Chief Judge who is a vocal advocate for the treatment model.
