On August 19th 2024, 5 recipients of #ACoMVeC #ORPs signed their one-year grant award contracts. A brief ceremony was organized on the occasion at CRID conference room. Aug 26 to 30, CRID will host a CDC program to train 10 regional health workers on detecting Anopheles stephensi across Cameroon. Dr. Ateba Marcellin Joël, ProgrammePaluCameroun_PNLP Permanent secretary attended and launched the workshop this morning.
On day 1 of the Anopheles stephensi surveillance training in Cameroon, Ateba Marcellin Joël, ProgrammePaluCameroun_PNLP Permanent secretary presented the national malaria situation. Drs. Tabue Raymond and Magellan Tchouakui then gave an overview of malaria vectors, focusing on Anopheles stephensi.
Day 2 of #CRID - CDC Training on Anopheles stephensi surveillance in #Cameroon health districts. Dr. Antonio Nkondjio christophe(#OCEAC, Pamca Cameroon ) presented on biology & ID of #malaria vectors. This preceded the afternoon practical session.
