The “viral Chase money glitch” was writing yourself a huge check and withdrawing it from the ATM? So it’s just overdrawing your account and hoping the bank will just mess up your credit instead of garnishing your wages? People are nuts doing this for internet clout.

I assume this is what happens when your AI prompt to write a position statement about AI includes “throw some woke stuff in there”

The idea that talent and hard work aren’t the primary path to success has been a gradual psyop in popular culture. Reality TV and viral stars showed talent isn’t needed to be famous. Privilege discourse implied race is destiny. Even in tech VCs and founders exposed as false gods.

Founder Mode is essentially “It’s easier for me to make every decision than hire competent people I can trust, set up the right incentive structure and then hold them accountable”. It’s a way to cope with not having certain leadership skills which is OK if that gap exists.

I never quite got the FIRE movement for the reasons in this Reddit post. Saving money and living below your means is great, I strongly recommend it to everyone. But the idea of living frugally so that you can retire in your 40s has always seemed weird. And then do what?

Don't judge a leadership approach by how compelling it sounds in a tweet or blog but instead on the results produced. If Satya or Dara are "manager mode" then give me manager mode any day of the week.
