I did some sleuthing on the similar waterfall fountain in Osaka Japan.
Seems like each colon is 16px wide. That makes the display 400px wide, 1bit.

Seems to be 400x240px, i.e. the same resolution as the Playdate! (pictured: a pixelart illustration from my Playdate game)

I just got an official ADHD diagnosis. Explains a lot. I'm relieved? And tired! Of having gone against my brain's best wishes for 42 years, getting into med school and art university, fighting through lack of focus, and becoming a world class pixel-artist. And a hottie, tbh

Like I said in my WIRED interview, pixelart will be relevant for as long as humans need to display quantized amounts of light or matter (dots) in as arranged fashion as possible, so that it accurately represents shapes and lines.
