Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 333 presented the 'Vietnam Memories: Stories Left at the Wall' program to FFMS Grade 8 students to inform them about the realities of war. #ClarkstownCSD thanks the Veterans for their service and for sharing their personal experiences.
CHSS’s Viking Connection has been busy making the rounds to speak to fifth graders about kindness, good choices, social media and how to prepare for middle school! The volunteer group recently met with students at BD, LP, LK, ST and WN to promote community across #ClarkstownCSD .
Congratulations to the Clarkstown High School North Mock Trial team for defeating Ramapo High School in the Rockland County Finals on April 15 to become back-to-back county champions! North’s team will now advance to the Regional Round hosted on April 20 in Goshen. #ClarkstownCSD
For the D.A.R.E. Program with Clarkstown Police, BW and LK students were visited by local K-9 officers and their trusty companions. The officers demonstrated how police dogs have been trained to assist with specialized tasks and talked to learners about all aspects of their unit.
ST learners took a step back in time to Colonial America! After studying the history of Colonial life, fourth graders explored customs from the 17th century during a cultural arts workshop. #ClarkstownCSD students spun yarn from wool, played Colonial games and practiced weaving.
LP today honored the life + memory of one of their own during Liam’s Day of Love + Kindness. 'The basis is to celebrate the birthday of our beloved student, Liam,' said Principal Dr. Duane Christian. 'The theme comes from the energy he gave to all.' #ClarkstownCSD #SmileForLiam
#ClarkstownCSD Superintendent Dr. Marc Baiocco today engaged in conversations with learners from both CHSN + CHSS. Following up on his Student Advisory Council session earlier in the year, Dr. Baiocco fielded questions concerning schedules, parking + capital work. #StudentVoice
Across #ClarkstownCSD , elementary schoolers are taking part in hands-on enrichment lessons. In Grade 2 (📸: WN), students are coding with Sphero indi. 2nd graders use various colored tiles to help inform their predictions and prompts for the robot, and then record observations.
A combined 20 #ClarkstownCSD seniors from CHSN and CHSS were recently honored during the annual Black and LatinX Student Achievement Awards at sunyrockland. Recognition is determined based on various personal accomplishments as well as academics. Congratulations!

CHSN’s English Department hosted its 20th Annual Sticky Notes – an all-day celebration of creative writing. Participants revised and performed what they created during an open mic session, which encouraged collaborative learning and improvement for #ClarkstownCSD students.
FFMS Italian classes were treated to a “SEMPREVERDE: EVERGREEN” cultural arts performance during #WorldLanguageWeek celebrations. The show fuses music, science and Italian language, so #ClarkstownCSD students were not only entertained, but educated on issues that impact humanity.
#ClarkstownCSD this week marked the culmination of its second annual Blackout Poetry Contest with an in-person ceremony. BW, CHSN and CHSS students are invited each year to participate, and CCSD received 120 submissions! See the list of winners on FB. #ArtEducation #YouthArtMonth
As part of their Grade 2 curriculum, #ClarkstownCSD students at ST this week were visited by guest speaker Wendy Baker for a presentation on, 'Helen Keller: Exploring Through Doing.' Second graders took part in activities that challenged them to communicate without speaking.
CHSN upperclassmen recently attended a presentation given by local attorney + #ClarkstownCSD parent Brian Berkowitz, who spoke about the life-changing consequences of drinking + driving. Thanks to the Student Leaders Against Destructive Decisions (S.L.A.D.D.) Club for sponsoring!
