10 dead in just two motor vehicle incidents in the UK yesterday. No other form of transportation or activity is able to cause this level of distress and harm without action. Special measures needed urgently 🚨

Just spotted my first Voi e-bike in the wild! There's a 100 of them across the city in extension to eScooter trial - park in same bays and can be hired from the same app

Exciting times!! We are slowly making Oxford more accessible for active travel. The more options to get around the better!

Right I have gone through the latest 20mph data for Wales and have made this video. However, I know many of you prefer a thread so I've done that as well. Long story short, 20mph seems to be working VERY well and is already paying for itself. [Thread]

When we build bigger roads, we get more traffic. Congestion briefly gets better, then the same, then worse. £Billions is spent in the process. Instead of dualling roads, what if we used the space for active travel instead? Here’s a thread on why it should happen.🧵

People prefer trams to buses, and they vote with their feet. Munich's East Tangent tram had 50% higher ridership than the bus it replaced. The smoother ride, predictable scheduling, and visibility with easy to understand routes all encourage higher ridership.

Oxford locals: please sign to help restore 46 & ST1 bus service over Donnington Bridge! change.org/p/restore-bus-… It took a great deal of local activism & innovation to restore bus services cut by bus companies, including the new 46. Weight restrictions mean we need smaller buses.

Delighted to address the APPG for Cycling & Walking reception this evening. Transport is right at the heart of our mission-driven government. We will be bold and ambitious on Active Travel which will play an important role in delivering the Government’s missions, especially on health 🚶🚴
