Our latest work on #actin assembly is now online Science Magazine!
We show how #formins bind and move with the growing barbed end of F-actin.
Awesome collab. between Stefan Raunser and Bieling labs MPI Dortmund, and big thanks to co-first author Micaela Boiero Sanders

What is liver zonation? How do hepatocytes organize their activities in the tissue? And what does cell-cell communication and gradients have to do with it?

Come join us American Society for Cell Biology meeting in DC where Meng-meng Fu and me will run a session. This meeting is the very best for cell biologists, and where I first met Christophe Leterrier by chance (details vary but some facts here): crosstalk.cell.com/blog/there-is-…
Y'all need more cochlea in your timelines. I typically favor stereocilia, but we have been spending lots of effort improving our imaging of these beautiful synaptic structures. This was captured and rendered using the Oxford Instruments BC43 then rendered with Imaris 3D/4D Imaging.
🚀Join Garcia-Mata Lab Rafael Garcia-Mata, PhD as he discusses techniques to study epithelial cell architecture in 2D & 3D.
🚀Learn how #molecular mechanisms regulate the formation of adherens junction and tight junctions in #epithelial cells.
