Our latest work on assembly is now online Science Magazine!

We show how bind and move with the growing barbed end of F-actin.

Awesome collab. between Stefan Raunser and Bieling labs MPI Dortmund, and big thanks to co-first author Micaela Boiero Sanders

Happy to share my recent Current Opinion in Cell Biology Elsevier CellBiology
What is liver zonation? How do hepatocytes organize their activities in the tissue? And what does cell-cell communication and gradients have to do with it?

📢 @Rodallab and I are excited to share our new findings on @BioRxiv, biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

Take-home: Using improved live imaging🔬of actin markers, we found that non-muscle myosin II regulates a novel presynaptic actin assembly important for neuronal mechanobiology. 👇🧵1/12

Come join us American Society for Cell Biology meeting in DC where Meng-meng Fu and me will run a session. This meeting is the very best for cell biologists, and where I first met Christophe Leterrier by chance (details vary but some facts here): crosstalk.cell.com/blog/there-is-…

Y'all need more cochlea in your timelines. I typically favor stereocilia, but we have been spending lots of effort improving our imaging of these beautiful synaptic structures. This was captured and rendered using the Oxford Instruments BC43 then rendered with Imaris 3D/4D Imaging.

A kinesin binding to actin and boosting its polymerization 😯🤨 ? Silencing showed a clear effect on the position of the centrosome 🤩 and the shape of protrusions at the front of migrating neurons.

The only thing missing from Mark Peifer's awesome recap of the Cytoskeleton Meeting meeting was a description of his talk: presented simply enough to be accessible to a freshman biology student, yet also exciting to cytoskeleton vets with decades of experience. An inspiration!
