. UnitedHealthcare racked in $22.4 BILLION in profit in 2023 alone- they did that by denying people healthcare & by taking more public $ by expanding in privatized Medicaid/Medicare. They use OUR money & exploit OUR medical needs to make billions in profit while families continue to suffer.
Today UnitedHealth Group announced that it made $7 billion in profit in the first 3 months of 2024 alone. How? By denying care. In the privatized Medicaid they run in NJ for example they denied people's prior-authorization requests for care 27% of the time.

Center for Health Progress's #CareNotCourts went face to face with uchealth CEO Concordia and Chris Vanderveen (yep…me) was there to capture it. Concordia, you can't hide from the wreckage you're causing by suing patients, and you can't hide from community. youtube.com/watch?v=GQjnO8…
Others don’t sue, why do you uchealth? Center for Health Progress and we urge you to stop wrecking patients’ lives #carenotcourts #ucwealth
I speak for myself and countless colleagues who feel ashamed to work for UCHealth. @UCHealth’s mission says “improving lives' but the policies you protect are destroying them. Stop suing people for medical debt NOW and provide Coloradoans with relief. 7/7 #CareNotCourts
One day, a man served me papers and uprooted my life. I’m already on an older payment plan for healthcare with @UCHealth paying $130/month. This was the lowest amount I was offered and it's STILL too much for my family to afford. 5/7 #CareNotCourts
These collections notices felt misleading and I was confused. They didn’t specify any relationship to @UCHealth, so I thought they were fake. 4/7 #CareNotCourts
