#2023BSACPConference BSACP Even some hope of #decriminalisation can’t help the women who are being persecuted, phones confiscated & privacy breached, only often never to be charged amp.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov… We cannot have police at the bedside of miscarrying women. It is obscene.
#2023BSACPConference BSACP Fascinating summary by Carrie Purcell of The Open University study of pain in EMAs. Describing abortion pain as “period-like” can cause minimisation or confusion of pain. Greater availability of EMA is revolutionary, but accompanying analgesia is needed.

Brilliant seminar with Family and Medical Law Research Group, Oxford on Consent in Medical Law with Alex Ruck Keene Alex Ruck Keene 1take-away: Mental Capacity Act must not be approached by starting w/ diagnosis.
