When I was 5 I moved from Tampa to Amarillo. Then to a suburb of Chicago, then southeast TX (near Beaumont). After that: FL, KY, IN, TN, and WA. Each accent is compartmentalized; it was the first social hack I ever learned, and I learned it well, and I’m hardly alone.
