sketch 💞Photographers, influencers and celebrities have been heading to the candyfloss-pink Gallery restaurant in Mayfair’s Sketch since its unveiling in 2014.

sketch 📸It is easily one of London’s most iconic and prettiest dining rooms, with its plump marshmallow chairs, David Shrigley art and golden lanterns.

sketch Originally this space was supposed to stay for just two years, but Londoners loved the interiors so much that they decided to keep it on – until now.

sketch 🟡The restaurant has been transformed into a mellow-yellow hangout, designed by Iranian-French architect India Mahdavi, whose other work includes the interiors at Ladurée, one of the best patisseries in Paris, and kooky Seventies-inspired hotel Le Cloître in Arles.

sketch British-Nigerian artist YINKA SHONIBARE CBE CBE has created 14 pieces of art for the new restaurant, from masks that replicate the objects found in Pablo Picasso’s collection to framed quilts.

sketch YINKA SHONIBARE CBE Shiny copper-coloured walls create a hypnotising effect underneath the domed ceiling, reflecting light from lamps set on each table, as well as the bronze bar, and sunshiny-yellow stools.
