We joined KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Field Reseachers and Community Representatives for a field tour at the Junju Dispensary. Since its Establishment in 2000, KEMRI has conducted population-based research at the facility within the Kilifi Health and Demographic Surveillance System.

It was a bittersweet moment for the Programme as one of our senior researchers James Nokes proceeds to his retirement. His research group led by Charles Agoti Charles Sande, George Githinji🦠🧬🇰🇪💾 celebrated him in his last seminar.
In an emotional speech, James Nokes expressed, “I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with, don’t just choose smart people to work with choose people that you like...It’s been an incredible journey”. We celebrate James and wish him all the best in his retirement
