UNE Professor of Public Health Michele Polacsek, Ph.D., M.H.S. recently collaborated with UNE COM Student Doctor Summer Moukalled, OMS II, to publish a report titled 'Reducing Student Exposure to Digital Food and Beverage Marketing'. Congratulations Summer and Dr. Polacsek!

The 2022 UNE COM White Coat Ceremony will take place this Saturday, September 10th at the Merrill Auditorium. If you cannot join us in person for this event, you can virtually attend by watching the livestream on the COM Facebook page or the UNE website.

This July, Sophia Blanchard, OMS II, attended the National LGBTQ Health Conference held in Chicago. This event was a research conference that discussed current issues affecting the health of LGBTQ+ patients, as well as suggestions to improve training for health professionals.

Last puppy post of the month! Meet Jack :) Jack's human is Assistant Dean of Student Success Jess Gagne. Jack is 4 (?) years old, loves all dogs, all things outside, rolling in the grass and going to 'Ethan's House', Dean Gagne's brother.

Meet Rosie! Rosie is 'more black lab than anything else, but there’s definitely some other stuff in there'. She is approximately 8 or 9 (a rescue pup). Her favorite thing to do is play outside! Rosie's human is Professor of Microbio and Infectious Disease Meghan May, Ph.D., M.S.

This Virgo queen is Stevie! She’s a 3 y/o pocket Pittie (who just had her bday). She enjoys terrorizing the neighborhood wildlife and snuggling. She’s owned and loved by Cami Reppert, OMS II, and her partner!

Meet Mavrick Moon! His mom is Bianca Bustamente OMS-III. Mavrick loves long walks on the beach, playing ball, and eating cookies! He will be 5 years old on Sept. 8th :)

This is Mika, a 12 week old beagle. She loves taking naps in the hammock and snuggling with her tiny humans, ages 3, 7, and 10. Mika's grown up human is Amanda Querry, D.O., ‘07!

This is Poptart! She is a toy Aussie who is almost 2 (her birthday is September 26)! In her free time she enjoys going to the beach and barking at strangers. Poptart's human is Maddy Berkowitz-Cerasano, OMS II!

This is Grimm and Nixie! They're a mix of Husky, Cane Corso, and Pittie. They’re a year and a half old and they love to do anything outside and find new places to camp in their converted ambulance . They have their own Instagram too, run by their human Nick LaMothe, OMS II!

This is Mary Jane Watson! She’s a four year old hound - pitt bull mix and her favorite activity is sniffing things on walks! Mary Jane's human is Ally Below, OMS-II.
