Thundery showers across Scotland today as SB CAPE rises to 600J/KG in places that could allow sporadic lightning to take place. ⚡️ There was no time to publish an outlook today, however a low risk certainly an AOI would've been issued for Scotland.

Friday 23rd Morning: Storm Lillian is expected to affect northern England during the early hours alongside thunderstorms & sporadic lightning expected as it moves through. Lightning is expected to remain limited, however it could pep up for a time.

Saturday 24th August: Behind a clearing front across S/SE England, instability follows behind where surface based showers are expected to form bringing the risk of sporadic lightning. ⚡️

Convective risk will pick up once again across Ireland and Scotland, where intense showers and possible thunderstorms could form Monday overnight. Outlook will be published tomorrow ⚡️

Tuesday 27th August: Intense showers are expected to form overnight Monday across Ireland & Scotland where some instability exists. Sporadic lightning is expected especially across SW/W parts of Ireland where higher instability exhibits. Risk is very low though. ⚡️

A few active thunderstorms developed just of the coasts of E England early hours today. This has mostly stayed away from E England. However, some storms have clipped coastal areas, bringing frequent lightning ⚡️

A few showers maybe the odd thunderstorm is expected to develop in the coming hours across Wales stretching into the Midlands. Lightning will remain low if not nothing due to the low amount of CAPE. However a few strikes can't be ruled out ⚡️

Thursday 5th September: A warm front is expected to slowly push into S England with the chance of embedded t-storms on its N/NE side which could cause sporadic lightning, severe wind gusts & flooding issues. Lightning will remain sporadic unlikely of becoming frequent. ⚡️

Thunderstorms have developed across most areas within our MDT Risk tracking W as the morning continues. ⚡️ Frequent lightning and large rainfall totals can all be expected. Most, if not all, of these storms are organised so they might last a while.

UKV 09z & AROME 06z still showing elevated thunderstorms to develop tracking W into Bristol Channel. Expect frequent lightning & more flooding issues. ⚠️
