Housing targets: Set up to Fail? Councils allocate sites & deliver planning consent. They don't build. Forcing allocation of more sites just means more choice for developers. No increase in building. Green fields lost. Brownfield idle. From 2015.... cpre.org.uk/resources/set-…

It's that time of year when birds like Whinchats, Wheatears and Yellow Wagtails begin to return to their winter feeding grounds. Join Neil Anderson on 24th August for a migrant species walk which will also take in the range of fauna and flora to be discovered on WarrenFarmNatureReserve

The #GreenBelt is #NotJustAPrettyPlace it's also a source of food security. Buying food grown in the Green Belt reduces transport emissions and requires less packaging.

The #GreenBelt is #NotJustAPrettyPlace it also provides space to #walk and #play. Getting regular #exercise reduces stress, improves sleep and helps prevent heart disease and other chronic illnesses. By keeping us healthy the Green Belt can also save the #NHS money!

2 million social homes lost under Right to Buy since Thatcher. Will Starmer stop it? No. Has the govt reduced the subsidy? No. Surely councils can at least spend the proceeds to build new social housing? Nope Will Starmer end this politically-made housing affordability crisis?
