Protocol development goes beyond the traditional classrooms...

Fantastic evening talks. First off, a talk on breadth vs depth in research from David J Hunter University of Oxford

Followed by another great talk from Dr Elisabete Weiderpass (views are my own) Dr Elisabete Weiderpass on cancer control in the IARC GICR at IARC

At the end of six very intense days of protocol development at #CReDO2023 , we had the top protocol from each of the eight protocol development groups presented to all participants and faculty. Some key points that I want to stress here in the following tweets

Amongst the protocols developed at #CReDO , we had
1.Simon 2-stage phase 2
2.Case-control
3.Cohort
4.Parallel-group RCT
5.Factorial design RCT
6.Basket trial
7.Adaptive phase 2/3 RCT
8.QOL RCT amongst others.
Incredible to see early career researchers grow so much in just 6 days

It was a really tough job for the faculty to select just one of the 8 protocols developed in each group. In many groups, it was practically a tie.
Seven of the eight groups' top protocols were developed by women! #InternationalWomensDay was not mere tokenism at CReDO
