Training at ⬆️muscle lengths, despite being better 4 💪 size & torque-angle related strength in long run, has a -ve impact on nueromuscular function during acute recovery vs ⬇️ muscle lengths. Latest work from myself & Professor Gladys Pearson journals.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.115…

A huge congrats to my intern for successfully getting his FYP accepted by JSCR. With the regression equation from this study, we can predict 1RM squat with peak force obtained from isometric squat with relatively low errors. But as usual, inter-individual results may differ.

Seeking the opinion of S&C coaches with golfers. Is anyone using the TPI screening tool or forced to by the coach? Do you see any value in using it?

Experts like Alex Natera, PhD and Danny Lum, PhD, CSCS, ASCA L2 have significantly contributed to the popularity of isometric training. It's now viewed as an essential supplement to traditional training, especially beneficial during competitive seasons with little recovery time.

Got our sports med trainee DRs to plan a program for a sprinter with hamstring injury. I recommended the inclusion of low intensity running drills & PLY early to ⬇️ the time to RTS. This study showed that early inclusion of sprint technical training ⬇️ RTS duration by 4-12 wks.

Does anyone know if there's any running track that the public can have access to in Venice, Italy? Will be there with our sprinter this July for the Athletica meet.

Results from this study indicate that individuals with low muscle strength are 2.68-4.63x more likely to be depressed. Not surprising since being weak is depressing 🤣🤣🤣 journals.plos.org/plosone/articl…
