Yup. Toss-up, for sure. DLS being at home is why I picked the Spartans. Surprised it was 5-0 in our picks. It is only one week, but Serra IMO has the better resume, its win at Folsom stronger than DLS’s running-clock home rout of Grant. Should be a great game Friday.

Both teams posted lopsided victories last week. Santa Teresa took down Fremont-Sunnyvale 48-7, and Milpitas went on the road and beat Oak Grove 35-0.

No score after 12 minutes in Milpitas. Santa Teresa scored on the first play from scrimmage, but that was wiped out by a penalty. There have been many more since then.

And there's the scoring. Jaylen Malcom takes a handoff around the right side and goes 11 yards for the TD. 7-0 Santa Teresa with 9:19 left in the second quarter.

It's all Santa Teresa in this first half. Jaylen Malcom takes a pitch and runs 11 yards again for a touchdown, and the Saints lead Milpitas 18-0.

Casey Carr's 26-yard kick at the buzzer is no good, but Santa Teresa leads Milpitas 18-0 at the half. All Saints in that first half. Two safeties, two touchdowns and two PATs to give the visiting team a three-score lead. Trojans have some soul-searching to do in the locker room.
