The 35-year-old chess record held by Judit Polgar has just been broken by 12-year-old Turkish prodigy Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş on the live rating list (if my calculations aren't wrong)! 👏👏

Many people ask me how they can learn chess or how they can get better. This is the site I recommend and I use and they are offering their courses free right now.

You can't imagine how jealous I am of this photo by Rafal Oleksiewicz, taken at the World Rapid and Blitz in Warsaw, 2021.

I had tried so many times to get a shot like this!

Just listened to this weeks Podcast from New In Chess with Peter Heine Nielsen discussing the Candidates and Gukesh D. Two years ago Peter and I were coaches at the Charlotte Chess Center summer camp. We talked about who were the most promising people. I said 'Gukesh'. To which he answered: 'who??'

20-year-old Khaby downloaded TikTok out of boredom in March 2020.

He started creating short, simple videos mocking overly complicated life hacks.

His silent, universally understandable humor struck a chord with his audience.

Bang! He went viral.

Look at this guy.

He’s a factory worker who became a millionaire as a fun social experiment.

Somehow at 24, he makes $10M a year without saying a word.
