Officers from #StanwayRPU stopped a driver in less than ten minutes after being disqualified at #Colchester Magistrates Court. He was arrested, vehicle seized and remanded in custody. His disqualification was increased from 3 months to 18, and was given 180 hours unpaid work.

Working with partners (15 May), we arrested 2 , issued over 100 traffic offence reports & pupils from a local school spoke to drivers to educate them about the dangers of speeding near their school.

Following an investigation carried out by our Roads Policing Support Team, who review camera activations, a driver was summonsed to appear at court to answer a charge of careless driving. He drove on the wrong side of road to evade a camera.

Today officers from #StanwayRPU joined the Commercial Vehicle Unit as part of a HGV operation at #DPWorld in #Thurrock . We worked with partners from the #DVSA and found that the majority of vehicles were compliant with regulations. A good day promoting road safety. #VisionZero

A driver who was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample on the M25 during a drink drive investigation appeared at court.

Found guilty and received the following sentence.

✅ 30 month ban from driving
✅ 120 hours community service
✅ £739 fines / court costs

Yesterday officers from #StanwayRPU conducted an operation in the #Tendring district to target Fatal 5 offences. Motorists were stopped for excess speed, not wearing seatbelts, mobile phone use whilst driving and driving without insurance. #VisionZero #Fatal5

London’s major port, #Tilbury sees 14,000 vehicle movements a day & a terminal offering world-wide cruises!

Last week officers from #StanwayRPU stopped this motorcycle in the area of #MarksTey . Officers discovered that the rider didn't have the correct driving licence, wasn't insured and its road tax expired over a year ago. The rider was reported and bike seized. #RoadSafety
