This discourse is so fascinating. At the high end, the car world is full of preorders taken YEARS AND YEARS in advance of production. I put a deposit on an Aston Martin Valkyrie in 2017. Car wasn't delivered until 2023.

Yesterday, Elon said he doesn’t think Business Insider is a real publication.

Today, a Business Insider reporter ate pizza with glue in it.

Voice is an incredibly overhyped input modality from too many AI companies.

You can’t really be use voice in public, you can’t use voice while watching TV, you can’t use voice in an office, etc.

It’s cool, but not very useful.

Wrong take. Something needs to take the place of GPT 3.5 at .50 / 1.50 per 1M tokens. Get GPT 4 down to that level then launch GPT 5.

I also think GPT 5 will be a model for logic with reasoning. You’ll use it for very specific agent like tasks and GPT-4o for everything else.

AI compute is going to be like bandwidth was in 1994. If you were building a product plan assuming either scarcity of bandwidth or high margin for bandwidth then you’re in for disappointment. This should have been apparent then as compute itself previously went from high margin

It's crazy to me that the App Store process continues to be so broken. It's as if every employee on the review team is just a poorly run bot running GPT-2 from a few years ago.

Two weeks ago we released Reflect on Apple's App Store - it’s been a disaster.

Initially, we used TestFlight to distribute our iOS app, which worked well and allowed us to quickly iterate and ship updates. However, there was a cap on the number of users we could have.

😳 TikTok Policy literally says it cannot comply with the divestment requirement because “the Chinese government has made clear that it would not permit a divestment” of ByteDance’s algorithm.

They’re literally making the national security case for the U.S. government.

Most of the world is going to be shocked to learn many hardware products are just running an Android app with a custom launcher and ROM.
