In light of Labor Day theme “Fostering Youth-Led Employment”, Min. UTUMATWISHIMA unveiled the impact of YouthConnekt Awards & Hanga Pitchfest competitions. 85% of YouthConnekt | Rwanda recipients witnessed substantial growth in their enterprises & subsequently created jobs for their peers.

Today, Min. UTUMATWISHIMA and MoS Sandrine Umutoni hosted the #Aguka Steering Committee Meeting together with key stakeholders to review the 2023 achievements and provide guidance for the 2024 implementation model.

We kicked off the long weekend with the unveiling of 2024 plans for the #Aguka youth platform. Together with our partners Ministry of ICT and Innovation | Rwanda, Ministry of Youth and Arts | Rwanda, EU Delegation to Rwanda and Imbuto Foundation, we are excited about another year of nurturing #Rwandan youth with the skills to make them job creators.

Today, Minister of State Sandrine Umutoni attended the final showcase of the African Women Storytellers Programme – an initiative that focuses on providing #AfricanWomenStorytellers with both training and a platform to showcase their work.
