Great work by my lab-mate Kirill Sukhoverkov combining my two loves: Streptomyces and plasmids!
Great to spend a couple of chemical biology-focused days Royal Society of Chemistry (also included an unexpected meeting with Burlington House’s bird of prey 🦅)
Hmmm, receive an email from our home insurance company AXA Insurance UK that begins with "Sit back and relax" and ends with an *increase* of £735 to renew our insurance 😂 Definitely can't be bothered to play the silly little game of ringing them up and negotiating
We've updated the streptomyces.org.uk domain hosted John Innes Centre. It links to the Streptomyces genome database StrepDB , ActinoBase, and other useful resources. 1/2

Very happy with a charity shop find of a set of postcards commemorating the Nobel prizes of Haworth, Martin/Synge, Barton and the Braggs for the 100 year anniversary of the (then) Royal Institute of Chemistry Royal Society of Chemistry That Barton steroid graphic 😍
