2 August is Roma and Sinti Genocide Remembrance Day. It is estimated that 250,000-500,000 Roma and Sinti were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators. It was only in 1965 that the West German government acknowledged Roma and Sinti as victims of a genocide. #roma #sinti
