The AfricaNLP Workshop started with Bonaventure F. P. Dossou giving the Opening Remarks. He welcomes everyone, both in-person and online, giving a brief introduction of the workshop. The 5th edition of the AfricaNLP is officially started.

We are having our virtual breakout rooms where authors are presenting their research findings. The rooms include: Adaptation of LLMs on African Languages, Sentiment Analysis & HS, NLP Applications, Machine Translation, Text Generation and, Speech & Multimodality.
