If I was prime minister I would set up lines out from my PA system for each of the media teams recording so they could balance the mic and background audio

So I was wrong about them calling a general election on the same day as the local elections but right that they would want to do it in the summer, not autumn/winter, to politically exploit regular media stories of people crossing the channel in boats for asylum or a better life.

Don't post content of dead people or horrific injuries without flagging the content. Yes, I know it's important. But you have no right to decide to burn traumatic images into people's memories because you think they need to see them.

Imo housing is not “affordable” unless someone on minimum wage can afford it.

It's not outrageous for a prosecutor to carefully determine that there are grounds for prosecuting a case and asking the court to issue an arrest warrant. Disappointing response from Biden, who should champion the rule of law.

I wish the ICC had been able to do this earlier but I'm glad to see it. The quicker the leaders are arrested the quicker the killing will stop.
