It's the month of World Sepsis Day! Here in the UK, we have been world leading in improving outcomes from Sepsis but since the pandemic sadly standards have declined. Our urgent call to His Majesty's Government is to deliver these 3 quick wins to save lives. Positive dialogue

In the first of 4 clips today I try to explain our long-term plans for commissioning for excellence in #sepsis and #InfectionManagement in the NHS, and introduce the three quick wins we believe ⁦Wes Streeting MP⁩ and his team can enact right now.

Dr. Ron Daniels BEM Wes Streeting MP I agree, providing governance is in place for quality assurance, reproducibility, monitoring impact & avoiding conflict of interest. Like drugs & therapeutics committees; we may need to have diagnostic committees to make rapid decisions to implement new diagnostics in the NHS.

Important messages from Dr. Ron Daniels BEM. Speaking personally, women who’ve just given birth need to be safety-netted (yes I know they are but my #sepsis was missed) and yes please to support services signposting.
