On course for a record year in 3 SE Dartmoor woods where Pied Flycatchers are monitored. A new high of 33 pairs at Brook Wood where only 18 years ago they didn't even breed. Also, nice 6 year old female back again on territory PiedFly.Net ๐ธPete Salter

Not sure how much documentation there is on burrowing Little Owls but certainly a new on for us! 4 little owl fledglings from a nest beneath a tool store. #LittleOwls David Morrison Shaun Harvey #Londonbirds BTO
Raft Recovery: CW4 black on yellow Darvic identified using @spypointcamera on 18/07/20224 @southstaffswater Blithfield Reservoir. The bird was originally ringed London Wildlife Trust Walthamstow Wetlands by southern Ringing Group in 2022 as a chick, which is a distance of 91 miles.
A great week visiting Lundy Bird Observatory to help with some seabird monitoring. Finding a Melodious Warbler (lifer), ringing shearwaters underneath the Milky Way and seeing coastal moths was special. A cracking island and even better people, will definitely be back #obsenvy
