The Home Office has rejected the visa application of one of our postgraduate students to attend AfricanStudiesUK. This was a fully funded trip, yet the visa was rejected because they determined they couldn’t be confident that our student wouldn’t leave the UK. Racist asshats

We are very pleased to be able to report that the rejection of our students visa application has been reversed, and that our student will now be able to attend AfricanStudiesUK. We really appreciate Antony Phillipson intervening here. Hoping for a great conference
