Bapat told the police that one of the assailants was ‘a Gujarati woman disguised in male attire.’

Moghe became an approver in the case. But eventually, the court acquitted all the accused.

However, the police arrested eight people including the driver of the car Janardhan Balakrishna Bapat, Ganesh Raghunath Vaishampayan, Shivram Vishnu Deodhar & Shankarrao Moghe.

Durgadevi found her son. They all managed to escape the police & left #Mumbai . Babarao gave Durgabhabhi clothes and some money for their journey.

When the police started making arrests on 9 October, Babarao knew that he would come under the scanner and took Sachi to the house of Ganesh Raghunath Vaishampayan.

Babarao was told that if anything untoward happened to her during the action, her son should be sent to an HSRA member in Punjab named Dhanvantari.

Prithvisingh Azad & Bhagwati Charan Vohra were in touch with Ganesh aka Babarao Savarkar, the elder brother of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Before the Lamington road shooting, #Durgabhabhi had kept her son Sachindra (8) at Babarao’s house in Khar.
