According to my calculations, F1 starting salary under this offer would be £36,734 With recent AfC uplift, PA starting salary will be £46,147 Under no circumstances should an associate/assistant be paid more than a doctor No other profession would accept such humiliation 🦀

ST3 Chemical Pathology/ Metabolic Medicine applications are open for Jan-April 2025 entry It’s a relative small and not well known speciality with a big outpatient clinical component and also laboratory element, similar to Immunology and Haematology. DMs open for any questions

And now an outlandish conspiracy theory: doctors are suppressing the publication of research into MAPs! This man has no credibility whatsoever.

GMC I want my profession back. For too long it hasn’t been in the control of the medical profession. Appoint a PA to council and expect significant ramifications and likely union-backed action to withhold fees.

My solution I’ve posted multiple times. We MUST recognise that PAs have been missold their roles and their course. It’s not their fault. The solution has to cater for them, for us, and for patients. Abolish the role. Freeze pay to band 7 and make the r&r a doctors assistant

The time is coming closer where we take focussed industrial action to sort this out. I’d prefer jaw-jaw but the profession’s patience is not infinite.

David Oliver I don’t mean strike action. I mean direct action to make the role untenable. As I said, I’d rather this was done without the need for that but it needs to happen stat.
