I think the half-edge mesh data structure is one of the most under-rated data structures in all of CS. It's an incredibly simple/elegant/efficient solution to the difficult problem of manipulating mesh topology.

Always think it's funny that creative coders are constantly looking for algorithms to learn from and then in architecture school we just give students a Grasshopper plug-in that has all of that built in.

Steve Ruiz ha that's impressive, quiver is not there yet!

But I expect it to more overhead since we are observing box movement from 'afar' than it being tightly integrated in a canvas! Still lots of low hanging fruit to find!

2D canvases have a whole dimension spare, so why not make it semantically rich? Here's a 3D 'underlay' in tldraw — 2D control plane, 3D feedback.

Depth + movement makes a whole class of information legible.

programmers who did badly on the eye test (literally everyone i saw who posted results) better get gud cuz in 5 years debugging is going to be 99% psychoanalyzing 27000 dimensional hyper ENTJ itô category theory machine elves

you can go up on a steep hill in mountain view and look west and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back
