April is Care Workers Recognition Month. Yesterday, I held a roundtable with members of @seiuva512, @careinactionus, Domestic Workers and Dreamer Mothers in Action to celebrate the Biden-Harris Administration’s actions to strengthen the care economy and what more must be done.
Yesterday, team Philly joined Alliance for a Just Philadelphia at the city budget hearing to advocate for the $2.6 million of funding we need for the Office of Worker Protections!
Workers in Philly deserve workplace protections and the support to enforce those policies.

Last week, I joined Domestic Workers to discuss the vital work that care workers do across this country. In the year 2024, it is unacceptable that workers providing care for our children and seniors earn poverty level wages and rarely receive benefits.
