Excellent statement showing how substance use policy based on evidence, compassion and love is what works. Widespread education, harm reduction and treatment are cornerstones of treating addiction as a health, not criminal issue. The War on Drugs failed, cost lives, $billions.

Hope Quebec reconsiders. The fedl govt will provide 100% of the extra cost over what each province currently pays to provide pharma coverage for all its citizens for diabetes + contraceptive meds & devices via our public system, just like our healthcare system is funded. Win-win.

“… good union jobs and free collective bargaining are vital to the sector’s long-term stability and safe landings for everyone.” An astute article on Labour Day.👇 theglobeandmail.com/business/comme…

Today we recognize the vital contributions of all workers to our economy & society. We value the dignity of all labour + commit that every worker has safety, a voice in their workplace and a fair share of the wealth their skill creates. Happy Labour Day! ndp.ca/news/labour-da…

It's built at the negotiating table - on workers terms - not through binding arbitration that favours CEOs and tramples workers’ rights. You turned your back on CN/CPKP workers and you’ve let Canadians down.

Today's Bank of Canada rate cut (the 3rd since June) has a double benefit. First, lower rates will spur more spending and fend off recession. Second, lower rates will themselves increasingly contribute to lower inflation. Rates are now lower than a year ago... #cdnecon /2

Pierre Poilievre voted no to raising the minimum wage, ordered striking workers back to work every chance he got, and voted yes to increasing the retirement age to 67 years old - particularly hard on blue collar workers. No friend of workers indeed.

Jagmeet Singh (@thejagmeetsingh) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The deal is done. The Liberals are too weak, too selfish and too beholden to corporate interests to stop the Conservatives and their plans to cut. But the NDP can. Big corporations and CEOs have had their governments. It's the people's time.

Jagmeet's move may be timed very well in this sense. Many Liberal voters vote Liberal as a hostage situation The moment the NDP is ahead, we could see a polling snowball. More data showing the NDP ahead in seats? More permission for Liberals to vote NDP

It was selfish of Mr. Trudeau to put his party before his country & rip up his promise to ensure fair elections and an end to first past the post. #NDP

Don Davies MP (@dondavies) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It’s quite clear that it’s the Trudeau govt who has abandoned Canadians. Dental care, Pharmacare and the national school food program are all passed, funded and in progress. Although these are all NDP demands, Liberals say they agree with them. Just continue to implement them.

#CHFA is Canada’s largest trade association for Natural Health Products, yet the Mark Holland refuses to meet with us. Is that truly “protecting the Canadian brand”? Thank you, Gord Johns, for your support. youtu.be/HYRTf0ZHkq4?si… #NHPs #SaveOurSupplements #CdnPoli

Canadian Conservatives attacking journalists for doing their job is straight out of Trump’s playbook. Both threaten our democracy. Voters need to send a clear message we won’t let this toxic, authoritarian, bullying tactic damage our politics.
