Neena Jha Jaspreet Sohal 🐝🧣 As a dual qualified pharmacist (hospital & independent pharmacy) I 100% agree with this. I have encountered many pharmacists, nurses, paramedics who went on to do the full medical training. All said there are no short cuts. They are different roles. No disrespect was intended.

Louis Peachey The colonial blinkers are incredibly strong. In barely 200 years white culture has ruined the earth and environment, and caused record high levels of poor physical and mental health. Aboriginal people did the opposite for 60,000 years. Tell me again which one is 'civilisation'.🤦🏻‍♀️

Chris Picton MP Need to make GP training more attractive to new grads with only 13% of them choosing GP as a career, you have a problem! Primary care funding needs to keep up with hospital funding & remuneration entitlements for trainees. RACGP AMA Media Mark Butler MP

Medicare is deleting the Mental Health Consultation item numbers soon. I use these every day, often co-billed with a physical health item. These are healthcare cuts by stealth, to General Practice patients. gpmhsc.org.au/newsletter/art…

The government may not recognise my mental health provision, scrapping patient rebates for reviews of treatment plans.. But GPs will continue to collaborate with psychologists, nurses, allied health, listen to patients & be available for crises. Cheers Mark Butler MP

Our patients’ Medicare rebates - which also fund bulk billing - have been a frayed lifeline for ages. Cost of care has gone up and rebates haven’t. The line will eventually snap. We can’t tell when, just warn what chronic GP underfunding means: less care, more hospitalisations.

Warning. Some of the top schools in the country are encouraging mask use coming up to exams and the end of year 12. And the kids are wearing them. You want a competitive ATAR, do what Olympic athletes and the highest achieving kids in the country do.

Female surgeon here. I absolutely detest the stereotype of the supposedly technically brilliant male surgeon with poor bedside manner/communication skills. Ppl deserve BOTH and the research shows if you don’t have both, you don’t perform well.

Slowly...the real concerns, the reality of climate change is making it to the news. Wonder if we will see this on #Sky or #Ch9? "40 degrees in August? A climate expert explains why Australia is ridiculously hot right now "abc.net.au/news/2024-08-2… via ABC Australia

I was asked why I wear a stethoscope round my neck working in O&G. I explained that I’m not an O&G Consultant, but a Rural Generalist. I auscultate hearts and lungs, manage rural emergency departments and resuscitate children too. This stethoscope has had a full life 🩺👩🏽‍⚕️🏥
