Phillip Dawson You're confusing means and medians. Averages are affected by outliers. For example say you have 100 teachers in your faculty. 95 of them get the max score of 5. The others get 2. The average is ((95 *5) + (5*2))/100 = 4.85. 95% are above average.

Inclusive assessment has become somewhat of an umbrella term. Priya Khanna Chris Roberts Derek Louey feel like a 🐟 in 💦 w/ this Q bc high stakes MCQ assessmt is all I’ve ever known in 🇺🇸 To motivate learning ‘a bunch of stuff’ (assuming it’s relevant), this has most value in UME before transition to clinical care. ROI from driving memorization of facts diminishes thereafter
Priya Khanna Chris Roberts Cory Rohlfsen Derek Louey No. It's a regressive step and is more about performative accountability than a thing else, IMO
Writing this paper was a delightful challenge - with it to get some of these ideas (and grumbles) out on paper! Thanks Prof. Gabrielle Finn & Vishna Devi Nadarajah strong women unite 💪
