2/3 Sotterley, Suffolk. This was the church of the Playters family of Sotterley Hall. The 1638 memorial to Lionel Playters includes his 22 (twenty-two!) children by two wives. Instead of kneeling politely in a line as was conventional, some turn round to chat or stare out at the
