Just read @LoyolaHSC Stritch SOM email re passing of former Loyola Surgery chair, Dr. Richard Gamelli. He was chair when I was a med student, I was on his svc & he wrote a letter of rec. During an era of “old school” surgeons he def wasn’t. A consummate gentleman and teacher. RIP
