Wonderful talk on AST for NTM
Have been using linezolid quite a lot for M.abscessus but surprised to know that it doesn't seem to be a good agent according to its breakpoint and PK/PD
Wonder how is everyone's experience/thought about this?

For SAB at high risk of deep-seated or metastatic infections, 14 days of antibiotics (rather than longer) should be given if:
➡️detailed diagnostic evaluation (e.g. TEE, PETCT) is negative
➡️No non-removable cardiac device/vascular graft/DVT at catheter site
