There is a burst water pipe on the Derwent Valley Railway Path between Blackhill and Shotley Bridge Station, close to the Woodlands Estate. Northumbria Water are aware and are working to fix the problem

We have temporarily closed the North Road entrances to Durham Bus Station to allow for some unplanned works to be carried out to the buildingā€™s frontage. Access is currently via the nearby rear entrance within the bus concourse. This entrance is fully accessible. We apologise

The path will be closed for a week while works take place to fix the problem. Anybody walking from the Blackhill entrance, Links estate and the Woodlands estate will need to walk around to Shotley Bridge Station to access the other side of the path.
