Gorgeous Jet: A 70,000 km high (at least) burst out from the west limb of the Sun yesterday. It looks quite violent when compared to the size of the Earth (inset) but note its speed was not enough to allow the plasma to escape the Sun's gravity. Most of the material fell back.
