It is clear that the IMF/World Bank Spring meetings are spaces where liberal 'reformism' is embraced. How can the mantra be 'let's just slap on some more taxes' when the entire unjust system led by these two bodies is imperialistic & continues to harm poor & marginalized people?

You cannot tax your way out of imperial violence, human rights abuses, IFI-induced ecological collapse, resource plundering, debt chaos, Indigenous land dispossession, massive job losses, livelihood upheaval, austerity that kills poor people. The IMF/WB creates markets of death.
