This lack of border SPS infrastructure, along with a trust deficit, likely to be the biggest handicap to UKs ability to conclude a veterinary agreement with the EU. If UK lacks manpower to check if imports are safe, how can they be relied on to certify that exports to EU are?

Useful read, one big question ahead is the extent to which the UK is seeking a large change to the current situation or various individual relationship deepening measures, basically the objectives. Sense at the moment is this will continue to be fudged.
