You know for certain that the SNP leadership are not preparing a real independence prospectus when there is no mention of EFTA. They need to keep the focus on going directly and easily into the EU in order to win votes in elections on the basis of opposition to Brexit.

EU officials saying indyScot would have to join Euro to become EU members. Worth remembering that to join the Euro you first need an independent currency with a track record. On current plans that means 15 years (on a very good day). Independence in EU is a slogan for elections.

About ten years ago I got into a discussion with a guy while leafleting on the issue of austerity. He said he was willing to pay the price so his children wouldn’t have to. Just look at what they face now. “Pay now for a brighter tomorrow” is a cruel deceit.
