CS Hon.Mithika Linturi, EGH has commissioned the construction of the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas-East Africa Germplasm Exchange Laboratory (RTB-EAGEL) at the KEPHIS Plant Quarantine and Biosecurity Station at Muguga.

We are dedicated to collaborating with different partners to maximize the benefits of this facility and attract further investment.

A big thank you to GIZ, IITA, CIP, and the entire CGIAR community for their invaluable support to Kenya's agriculture.

The facility will implement proven approaches based on best
practices in agriculture, a venture that offers the quickest payback period for investments. Access to high-quality planting materials is crucial for govt’s BETA agenda, & this project is pivotal in actualizing this.

This afternoon, I've commissioned the construction of the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas-East Africa Germplasm Exchange Laboratory (RTB-EAGEL) at the KEPHIS Plant Quarantine and Biosecurity Station in Muguga.
